Organic Hair Coloring for Pregnant Women

Pregnant women usually stray from getting hair treatments and colouring, worrying that the chemicals will be absorbed by their system. From November until last May, I had to keep my patience with my outgrowing hair color of about 5 inches already. Good thing I heard about organic hair colouring at Creations by Lourd Ramos from one of my pregnant friends and decided to try it out.

Their pricelist. Not bad at all!

Since it was fashion week then, we were told that most of the stylists were out on field, including Lourd Ramos himself.

We were given orange cones to mark our stations.

I went for a darker shade so as to darken my previous colour and go nearer to my natural hair colour. Even if they're using a semi-permanent, organic colour on me, they still insisted to apply it highlights-style to keep the solution from my scalp. The whole process lasted about four hours.

Here's the "after". I didn't get to take a photo of the "before", but the bottom part (right above the eyebrows) were much striking and lighter in colour. The colour treatment did part of its job to tone it down, though it didn't totally match the roots to the previously coloured section. That's Paula, my stylist for the day.

My friend Elle, however, was very satisfied with her hair treatment and blow-dry. Look at her glow! Haha. She has gone back for another blow-dry, and is considering going back for a perm this week.

My other friend Charlene is also pregnant (we're just three weeks apart), and also went for organic hair colouring. I'm surmising that since the duration of time that the colours were left in our hair to "develop" was the same, it gave a better effect on her shorter hair. She had a far better colour blending as compared to mine.

When Elle went back for her blow-dry, she was able to mention the slight dissatisfaction to Lourd, and he mentioned that he would have corrected it if I had gone back within one week. I would still go back to this place though, but will insist better on the outcomes that I want.

On the way out, Davines merchandise are available for sale including an organic line free of SLS, SLES, sulphates, added parabens, artificial colouring, silicon, PEG and ethoxylates.
