Bali: Metis Restaurant and Gallery

Another restaurant we tried was Metis, also located at Kuta, Bali. If finding light at Ku De Ta wasn't hard enough, Metis provided a real challenge. Here's sharing another restaurant we visited in Bali.

Metis is a French Mediterranean Restaurant, more intimate than KDT's bar vibe. Despite being a smaller restaurant, this 250-seater has four sections: the restaurant, bar and lounge, as well as a gallery and boutique. Jumping from Metis' Press Images, here are photos we took onsite:

Statues welcomed our arrival.

Time for the meal:

Amuse Bouche

What we went there for: The “La Côte de Boeuf” or Grilled Australian Rib of Beef. 1.2 Kg is available for 2-3 persons, and 1.6 Kg for 3-4.  It looks like a huge plate of heaven for any carnivore, and we totally forgot about everything we ate earlier. I literally forgot about what the rest tasted like. The meat was falling off the bone and there were times when we ate with our hands.. we couldn't help it! We couldn't finish the dish even if we tried.

La Côte de Boeuf, Rp 780,000 or around [Php 3,200]
The wild mushroom fricassee added more flavour to the already satisfying meat.

Perfectly seasoned potato gratin came with the 1.2 Kg rib. This helped fill us up, fast!

We should have just ordered soup and this as main, because we had to bring home 1/4 of it. Here's a photo of us halfway through the dish.

On top of that yummy meal, the staff came up with this dessert as a surprise. It's one of the prettiest complimentary desserts I've received.
