Boon Tong Kee at the Mall of Asia

We dropped by MOA for late lunch to catch Boon Tong Kee on their first week of operations. The restaurant was empty when we visited, except for a group of people huddled in a meeting. Boon Tong Kee is a must visit site in Singapore, known for their signature boiled and crispy roast chicken.

We were looking forward for the Chicken Rice (P65), but were disappointed with the bland taste comparing to Singapore Chicken Rice (near Cubao expo) and Wee Nam Kee (Ayala Triangle).

The chicken however, was really good (Half, P425)

We added an order of cereal prawn, a surprisingly good random choice. (P325)

We received complimentary bowls of almond jelly topped with Hershey's syrup, literally. This was really bad. We had to complain to the waiter about it, and asked for them to try it out first before serving.

They don't serve house tea here, and we had to pay for P45 for a pot of Oolong.
Overall, it was an unremarkable dining experience. This outlet should be given soft opening pardon though.
