BLT Burger

We spent the last few hours of the day last December 27 in Mongkok, roaming intensively in a short amount of time (messing up our knees and feet in the process). Nikko, his brothers and I went back to Tsim Sha Tsui where we were staying right after. All the pain from walking didn't matter anymore when we reached our destination: BLT Burger. It was actually a commitment come true, passing by the branch on the way out and promising that we will go back for dinner.
Automatically, we would say BLT is bacon-lettuce-tomato especially if related to burgers. In this case, BLT stands for Bistro Laurent Tourondel, the mastermind (and master chef) of the BLT concepts.


BLT Prime is currently Zagat's #1 Steakhouse:

We were confident to come back with the restaurant warmly awaiting for our return, seeing that not so many people were there for lunch earlier. Lo and behold, we had to wait in line for thirty minutes to be seated.

The store manager was kind enough to offer a seat "for ladies only" since I intentionally showed him I was getting impatient. While waiting to be seated, I took some photos of the restaurant's interiors out of curiosity.

Finally, when our table for five became available, we went forward and ordered the items we have been eyeing from the LCD menu found in the queuing area. The place was quite pricey, with burgers ranging from HKD $78 (The Classic) - $148 (Foie Gras and Wagyu Flambe Burger).

Australian Wagyu (Medium Well)

My bad to have had it done medium well. It tasted like ordinary burger to me, considering I was starving the time I had it. All other orders were CAB burgers.

The Classic (Medium)

BLT Burger is under the umbrella company ESQUARED Hospitality, whose first branch started on 57th Street, New York City. They have various concepts including the following: BLT Steak, BLT Prime, BLT Fish, BLT Burger, BLT Market and some more. All restaurants are located in the US except for two concepts with branches in Hong Kong: BLT Steak and BLT Burger. The chef won the legal battle for the trademark BLT this year against his business partner, but expansion for the existing brands is frozen.
